National SafaaiKaramchari Finance & Development Cooperation (NSKFDC):- A wholly owned Govt. of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (M/o SJ&E) was set up on 24th January 1997 as a Company “Not for Profit” under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956. NSKFDC is in operation since October, 1997, as an Apex Corporation for the all-round socio-economic upliftment of the SafaiKaramcharis, Scavengers and their dependants throughout India, through various loan and non-loan based schemes.Apart from operating various loan and non-loan based schemes for the upliftment of the target group, NSKFDC is playing a vital role in eliminationof manual scavenging - the worst surviving symbol of untouchability. NSKFDC has been designated as the Nodal Agency for implementation of the Central Sector Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers (SRMS) under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) is a Govt. of India Undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. NBCFDC was incorporated under Section 25 of the Companies Act 1956 on 13th January 1992 (now section 8 of Companies Act 2013) as a Company not for profit with an objective to promote economic and developmental activities for the benefit of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and to assist the poorer section of these classes in skill development and self-employment ventures. NBCFDC provides financial assistance through State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) nominated by the State Governments/UTs and Banks (RRBs & PSBs). NBCFDC also provides Micro Financing through SCAs/ Self Help Groups (SHGs). The Corporation can assist a wide range of income generating activities to assist the poorer section of these classes in self-employment ventures
National Schedule Caste Finance & Development Cooperation:- NSFDC was set up by the Government of India on February 08, 1989 with the name National Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSCSTFDC). It was incorporated as a fully owned Government of India Company under Section 25 (not-for-profit) of the Companies Act, 1956 (Now, a Section 8 of the Company (not-for-profit) Act, 2013) The broad objective is for financing, facilitating and mobilizing funds for the socio-economic development of Scheduled Caste people having annual family income up to Rs. 3.00 lakh for both rural and urban areas.. It provides financial assistance for income generating schemes for the target group through State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) which are nominated by respective State Government /UT Administrations and other Channel Partners such as Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, NBFC-MFIs, Cooperative Banks/Societies and other development organizations with whom NSFDC has signed memorandum of agreement (MOA)
